Hi — I’m Eliseo Robles, and this is the first issue of The Collin County Brief.
Here’s the deal in one sentence: I’m a real person, named on every issue, building a free daily that actually tells you what’s happening in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, and Allen — pulled straight from public records, not rewritten from someone else’s article. Every fact below links to where I got it. If I ever get something wrong, I’ll fix it in public on the corrections page. That transparency is the whole point.
What you’ll get most mornings: a curated weekend calendar, a look at what’s getting built near you, plain-English recaps of what your city council and school board actually decided, and the latest restaurant-inspection scores. Today, a short version of all of it. Forecast first — the NWS has the weekend hot and mostly clear, so plan for shade and water.

From the Permit Desk
What’s moving through the development pipeline this week. Pulled from the cities’ public permit records — this is “what’s getting built,” straight from the filing.
- New commercial build-out, US-75 corridor, Plano. A retail/restaurant tenant finish-out permit posted to the city’s permit portal this week. Valuation and tenant aren’t public yet on the filing, so I’m not going to guess the name — I’ll confirm with the city’s economic-development office and report it when there’s something solid. That’s the rule here: if I can’t source the business name, you get the address and the honest “still confirming,” not a rumor.
Inspection Report
Recent restaurant health-inspection results from the county’s environmental-health record. I report the fails and the re-inspection passes — fair is fair.
